Roadmap is officially a toddler! And we’re quite the kid, if we may say so ourselves. At the ‘age’ of 4, we can share some impressive figures: more than 4 billion was spent on travel through our systems in 2019, 17 of our customers are big corporations, and our team consists of nearly 30 people. We would pat ourselves on the back – we really would. But you know what? We won’t just yet. Because we still get this question: What on earth is Roadmap and what do you do?
Yeah, so… what is Roadmap, and what do we do?
For some reason, it seems troublesome for us to explain our value to people who don’t yet know us. Bewildering, right? If you ask me, it is because we are so eager to tell you about all the things we have built. We are just so damn proud of who we are and what we have accomplished. Great? Not so much. Because here’s the result: too freaking much information and too little focus on the big picture. I presume it also stems from insecurity, in a way. The travel industry is not very open to newcomers, and our drive to succeed has sometimes turned into overcommunication to show everybody that “Hey, we have the right to exist.”
Well, enough of that. We came up with a solution: we brought an external person in to help us create clarity. This decision has led to a new value proposition: ‘Maximize the value of your travel program.’ Additionally, we launched a new website, new content, and – you guessed it – a brand-new Roadmap introduction video. Now, we are going to congratulate our toddler selves on that one. Because we love it. It’s cool and fresh, and – best of all – it explains Roadmap in no uncertain terms!
