We know, we know. We’re probably the last ones to wish you a happy New Year. But our message comes straight from the heart – and it’s still January, so we hope you’ll let us get away with it. In 2020, our team will work as hard as always. We’re still on a never-ending quest to improve. By now, you might be familiar with one of our paramount guidelines: we focus on progress rather than perfection.
Speaking of our company culture, let me tell you that’s one of the topics we’ll be sharing more about this year. Not because we love to talk about ourselves, but because we believe it’s an integral part of our product – which, by the way, we will also write about. In fact, we won’t ignore any topic that’s relevant to you travel tigers. Today, let’s have a look at 2020. What does the road ahead look like for Roadmap?
On a mission: equal opportunities for everyone
To create traveler happiness and engage travelers, you first need to make sure your employees are happy. If you ask us, equality is key in this regard. Inspired by Caroline Strachan, who held a TED Talk about establishing equality between women and men in the workplace, we decided to double down on this pillar in our company. Our goal: to do everything we can to ensure equal opportunities for everyone. Time to take action!
Our women in tech: meet Gaby
Our team consists of some equally extraordinary, powerful women and men. Last week, I sat down with Gaby Verwegen, one of these amazing people, to record a podcast. We chatted about women in tech, babies, working parents, and equality. Last but not least, she explained that Roadmap now offers equal parental leave to women and men, shedding light on why this is so important.
All in all, we feel we are at the dawn of another wonderful year full of progress. And we plan to move forward at full steam. We hope the same goes for you!
